Peggy was born in Dubuque, Iowa, where she spent the
first six months in an orphanage. Ray and Ruth Drake
adopted her as their daughter. She was born without a
left hand but that did not keep her from becoming a
nurse. She also has a Masters Degree from ATS in
New York. In 1979 Peggy left for Albertville, France,
were she studied French.
She arrived in Burkina Faso September 1980
and started by learning a tribal language, Bobo Madare,
in a small village called Santidougou. Here she spent her first term doing medical work. This was done in a mud hut for the first years.
Later a clinic was built and Peggy worked in it untill it was turned over to the government.

ATHEISM: An atheist said, "If there is a God, may he prove himself by striking me dead right now." Nothing happened. "You see, there is not God." Another responded, "You've only proved that He is a gracious God." Unknown

Jetty/ a favorite quote:
Salvation is from our side a choice, from the divine side it is a seizing upon, an apprehending, a conquest by the Most High God. Our "accepting" and "willing" are reactions rather than actions. The right of determination must always remain with God.
